Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the dough by combining peanut butter, sugar, and egg in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth.
- Scoop and shape the dough into small balls using a tablespoon or cookie scoop. Place them on the baking sheet, leaving 2 inches of space between each.
- Create fork marks by pressing a fork into each cookie in a criss-cross pattern.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
- Cool and enjoy by letting the cookies sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
- For softer cookies, add an extra egg yolk.
- If using natural peanut butter, stir well to prevent oil separation.
- Chilling the dough for 15 minutes helps prevent spreading.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
