Description

Air fryer chicken wings are crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned wings cooked effortlessly in an air fryer for a healthier alternative to deep-frying. Perfect for game nights, parties, or quick snacks. Easily made gluten-free or keto-friendly.

Ingredients

For the Wings:

– 1 lb chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes)

– Cooking spray (for air fryer basket)

– 1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil for higher smoke point)

– ½ tsp paprika (or smoked paprika for depth)

– ½ tsp garlic powder

– Salt and black pepper, to taste

For Garnish and Serving (optional):

– Chopped parsley

– Ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or buffalo sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness. Transfer them to a large bowl.
  3. Toss the wings with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Avoid overcrowding for proper airflow.
  5. Cook at 380°F for 10 minutes, then increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C) and cook for an additional 6–8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through cooking to redistribute the wings for even crispiness.
  6. Remove the wings from the air fryer and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  7. Serve hot with ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or buffalo sauce on the side.

Notes

– Pat wings completely dry: Moisture prevents crispiness—use paper towels to blot thoroughly.

– Avoid overcrowding: Cook in batches if needed to ensure proper airflow and even cooking.

– Gluten-free: Naturally GF, just verify all seasonings and sauces used are certified gluten-free.

– Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 360°F for 4 minutes to restore crispiness.

– Frozen wings: Increase cooking time by 5–7 minutes and shake the basket halfway through.
