Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce

For the Coleslaw:

  • 2 cups coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • (Optional) ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • (Optional) ¼ cup sliced green onions

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Avocado slices
  • Pickled jalapeños
  • Roasted red peppers
  • Extra BBQ sauce or ranch for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken with BBQ sauce. Stir until evenly coated.
  2. In another bowl, mix coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add cilantro and green onions if desired.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon BBQ chicken mixture into the center.
  4. Top with a generous amount of coleslaw.
  5. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly from the bottom to seal.
  6. Repeat with remaining tortillas and fillings.
  7. Slice each wrap in half for easy serving. Serve immediately, or wrap in foil for on-the-go meals.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded chicken for the best texture and flavor.
  • Chill the coleslaw for 15–30 minutes before assembling for a creamier, well-blended flavor.
  • Roll wraps tightly to keep fillings secure and avoid sogginess.
  • For a low-sodium or low-sugar version, use reduced-sodium BBQ sauce and skip added sugar in the slaw.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
