Description

Caramel apple cheesecake pie is a decadent fall dessert that combines a buttery pie crust, creamy cheesecake filling, spiced apple topping, and gooey caramel drizzle. This rich and comforting treat is perfect for holidays, cozy gatherings, or anytime you crave a seasonal indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 34 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts, sea salt for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line the bottom of a pie pan with parchment paper and lightly grease the sides.
  2. Press pie dough into the pan and bake for 8–10 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  3. For the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Pour over cooled crust.
  4. For the apple filling: Toss sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Arrange evenly over cheesecake layer.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  6. Cool completely, then chill in the fridge for 2–4 hours.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving. Garnish with nuts or sea salt if desired.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smooth batter.
  • Avoid overmixing to prevent cracks in the cheesecake.
  • Chill thoroughly for best texture.
  • Try variations: low-sugar (use stevia or maple syrup), vegan (plant-based cream cheese, flax eggs), or flavor twists (cranberries, cayenne, or raspberries).
