Ingredients

  • 200g high-quality dark or milk chocolate
  • 1 cup shredded phyllo dough (kunafa)
  • ½ cup freshly roasted pistachios, crushed
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk or sugar syrup
  • Optional: caramel drizzle, extra nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Kunafa Filling:
    • Soak the shredded phyllo dough in warm water until softened. Drain excess liquid.
    • Mix with sweetened condensed milk or sugar syrup. Fold in crushed pistachios. Set aside.

    • Use a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently to prevent overheating.
  1. Assemble the Chocolate Bar:
    • Line a tray with parchment paper. Pour a layer of melted chocolate.
    • Spread the kunafa mixture evenly, leaving space at the edges.
    • Cover with another layer of melted chocolate, sealing the edges. Smooth the top.

    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
    • Cut into bars and enjoy!
