- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- Wilton sparkle gel (white, for football laces)

Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
- In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing by hand once thick.
- Pinch off small amounts and roll into balls, shaping each into a football form. Place on baking sheet.
- Melt chocolate chips with shortening using a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each peanut butter football into melted chocolate, using a fork or candy dipper. Return to waxed paper.
- Use Wilton sparkle gel to draw laces on each football.
- Refrigerate 15–30 minutes until chocolate hardens.
