Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 cups broccoli florets
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Rinse and devein the shrimp.
2. Cut the broccoli into small pieces.
3. Mince the garlic cloves.
4. In a large skillet or wok, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant and slightly golden.
5. Add the shrimp and broccoli to the skillet. Make sure they’re all coated with garlic butter.
6. Cover the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
7. Remove the lid, add salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately.
Notes
To avoid overcooking the shrimp, watch them closely as they cook and remove them from the heat as soon as they’re done.
To get the broccoli perfectly crisp-tender, briefly blanch it before sautéing.
You can customize the garlic butter sauce by adding herbs, spices, or wine to taste.
