Description

This garlic butter shrimp scampi lasagna combines tender shrimp, creamy garlic butter sauce, and layers of melty cheese for a rich and indulgent pasta dish. It’s perfect for entertaining or cozy family dinners, offering gourmet flavor with easy-to-follow steps. Balanced with lemon, fresh herbs, and savory cheeses, it’s a seafood twist on classic comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes
  • Optional add-ins: spinach, mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and Parmesan. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Add shrimp to the sauce and cook until pink and opaque. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  6. Begin layering: spread some sauce on the bottom of the baking dish, then layer noodles, shrimp mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  7. Finish with a top layer of mozzarella and extra Parmesan.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for the best melt and flavor.
  • Al dente noodles prevent soggy lasagna after baking.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for variety.
  • Gluten-free noodles and plant-based dairy make it adaptable.
  • Let it rest before slicing to help the layers set.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge or freeze in portions for up to 2 months.
