Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
- Mix the Batter:
- Cream together softened butter, canola oil, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the flour, baking powder, salt, and buttermilk in small batches, mixing until smooth.
- Create the Swirl:
- Reserve 1/3 of the batter. Mix it with cinnamon and molasses.
- Layer the plain batter and cinnamon batter alternately in the loaf pan. Use a knife to swirl for a marbled effect.
- Bake: Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar:
- Dip the cooled bread in melted butter.
- Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Roll the butter-coated bread in this mixture until fully covered.
