- 1.5 pounds fresh, high-quality salmon (4 filets), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup (85 g) hot honey (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F or the oven to 400°F.
- Season the salmon cubes with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes.
- For the glaze, melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in hot honey until warm and well-mixed.
- Air fry for 9-10 minutes, shaking halfway for even cooking. Alternatively, bake in the oven for 16 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Once cooked, coat the salmon with the hot honey glaze and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve as an appetizer with toothpicks and extra hot honey on the side for dipping. Pair with roasted veggies, rice, or salad.
Notes
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the bites in the oven.
- Adjust the amount of hot honey to control the spice level.
