  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water or broth (for cooking quinoa)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Quinoa:
    • Rinse the quinoa under cold water.
    • In a medium saucepan, bring the water or broth to a boil.
    • Add the quinoa, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
    • Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
  1. Prepare the Steak Bites:
    • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
    • Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
  1. Sear the Steak:
    • Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer.
    • Sear for 2-3 minutes without moving them to create a crust.
    • Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until desired doneness.
  1. Add Garlic Butter:
    • Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
    • Stir for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and the butter is melted, coating the steak.
  1. Serve:
    • Place the quinoa on plates, top with steak bites, and garnish with fresh parsley.
