- 14 oz kielbasa sausage, cut into ½-inch rounds
- 1 lb sauerkraut, drained

- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard (spicy brown, whole grain, or Dijon)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional Add-ins:
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
Creamy Avocado Sauce:
- 1 ripe avocado
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 small garlic clove
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Handful of fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Slice red onion (if using), drain sauerkraut, and cut kielbasa into ½-inch rounds.
- Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat until melted.
- Add kielbasa and cook 3 minutes per side or until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sauerkraut, red onion (if using), brown sugar, and mustard. Stir constantly for 5–8 minutes until softened and heated through.
- Return kielbasa to the skillet and toss to combine. Season with black pepper.
- Garnish with thyme or parsley if desired.
To make the avocado sauce:
