Ingredients

  • Butter, melted: 6 Tbsp
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups
  • Granulated sugar: 1 cup
  • Light brown sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder: 2 tsp
  • Milk: 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract: 1 Tbsp
  • Lemon pie filling: 2 (21-oz) cans
  • Lemon juice (from 1 lemon): 1 Tbsp
  • Almond extract (optional): 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt 6 Tbsp of butter in a 9×11 inch ceramic or glass baking dish while the oven is preheating.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1 cup granulated sugar.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of milk and 1 Tbsp vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Carefully pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish, but do not stir.
