Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until just combined do not overmix.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- To make the glaze, whisk powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over cooled donuts. Let it set before serving.
