Description

Non-alcoholic holiday punch is a festive, sparkling blend of cranberry juice, orange juice, ginger ale, and warming spices like cinnamon and star anise perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings, or alcohol-free celebrations. Naturally gluten-free and easily made lower-sugar.


Ingredients

– 64 oz (8 cups) sweetened cranberry juice (chilled)

– 2 liters (67 oz) ginger ale (chilled)

– 16 oz (2 cups) orange juice (chilled)

– 4 tbsp fresh lime zest

– 6 whole cinnamon sticks

– 6 whole star anise pods

– 5 fresh thyme sprigs

– 1 cup fresh cranberries (plus extra for garnish)

Optional for serving:

– Ice ring or ice cubes

– Additional cranberries and thyme for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large punch bowl, combine cranberry juice, orange juice, lime zest, cinnamon sticks, star anise, thyme sprigs, and 1 cup cranberries.
  2. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Just before serving, pour in chilled ginger ale and stir lightly to preserve carbonation.
  4. Add an ice ring (made with water, cranberries, and thyme) or regular ice cubes to keep punch cold without diluting too quickly.
  5. Garnish with extra cranberries and thyme sprigs.
  6. Serve immediately in punch cups or glasses.

Notes

– Chill all juices beforehand for best serving temperature.

– Add ginger ale last to maintain fizz never mix it in hours ahead.

– Lower-sugar version: Use unsweetened cranberry juice and replace ginger ale with plain sparkling water or sugar-free ginger ale.

– Make an ice ring: Freeze water with cranberries and herbs in a Bundt pan or ring mold overnight.

– Gluten-free: Naturally GF, no modifications needed.

– Storage: Store base (without ginger ale) for up to 2 days; add fresh sparkling liquid before serving.
