  • Yield: 2–3 servings

Description

Orange Julius is a smooth, creamy, and citrusy beverage made with orange juice concentrate, milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla for a perfect balance of sweetness and tang. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a refreshing treat. Easily made dairy-free, low-sugar, or vegan.

Ingredients

For the Drink:

– 1½ cups whole milk (substitute almond milk or coconut milk for dairy-free diets)

– ½ cup heavy cream (substitute half-and-half, coconut cream, or Greek yogurt if preferred)

– 6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate

– 2 tbsp sugar (substitute monk fruit or stevia for low-sugar diets)

– ¼ tsp vanilla extract

– 1½ cups ice

For Garnish:

– 4 orange slices

Instructions

  1. Add whole milk, frozen orange juice concentrate, sugar, and vanilla extract to a high-speed blender. Blend for 20 seconds until well combined.
  2. Add ice to the blender and blend for another 30 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour the drink into glasses, garnish with an orange slice, and serve chilled. Orange Julius Recipe
  4. For a thicker consistency, add more ice or reduce the amount of liquid. Serve immediately after blending to maintain the drink’s creamy texture and vibrant flavor.

Notes

– Use high-quality ingredients: Frozen orange juice concentrate ensures maximum flavor and thickness. Substitute fresh orange juice if needed, but note it may alter texture.

– Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Freeze portions for longer storage; blend again with a splash of milk to restore texture. Avoid leaving the drink at room temperature for extended periods.

– Customizations: Swap orange juice concentrate with mango, pineapple, or strawberry concentrate for variety. Add chia seeds, protein powder, or fresh fruit chunks for added complexity.
