Description

A pickle margarita is a tangy, savory twist on the classic margarita, made with tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and pickle juice for a bold and refreshing cocktail. Perfect for summer parties, game nights, or adventurous drinkers looking for a fun twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • ½ oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • ½ oz pickle juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup (optional)

Optional add-ins:

  • Fresh cucumber slices
  • Jalapeño slices
  • Pinch of chili powder

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, pickle juice, and optional simple syrup.
  3. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Rim a glass with salt or Tajín by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it.
  5. Strain margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  6. Garnish with a pickle spear, lime wedge, or cucumber slice.

Notes

  • Use high-quality dill pickle juice for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness with more simple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Chill ingredients beforehand for a frostier cocktail.
  • For a spicy kick, muddle jalapeños in the shaker.
  • For a smoky variation, swap tequila with mezcal.
