Description

A vibrant summer drink blending tropical pineapple with juicy strawberries, creating a refreshing, swirled slushie perfect for hot days or gatherings. Packed with vitamins, this treat is a healthier alternative to sugary beverages

Ingredients

  • Fresh pineapple: 2 cups, diced (provides a sweet and tangy base)
  • Fresh strawberries: 1 1/2 cups, halved (adds a burst of juicy, vibrant flavor)
  • Granulated sugar: 2 tablespoons (balances the tartness of the fruits)
  • Lime juice: 1 tablespoon (enhances the tropical notes)
  • Coconut flakes (optional): 2 tablespoons (adds a creamy, nutty flavor)
  • Ice: 2 cups

Instructions

1.      Prepare the fruits:

    • Wash and cut pineapple and strawberries into small pieces. Remove any tough parts.
    • Freeze the fruits for at least 2 hours for the best slushie texture.

2.      Blend the slushie layers:

    • Blend the frozen pineapple with 1 cup of ice and half of the lime juice until thick and smooth. Set aside.
    • Repeat with the strawberries, remaining ice, and lime juice.

3.      Layer and swirl:

    • Pour the pineapple slushie into one side of a glass and the strawberry slushie on the other side.
    • Use a skewer or spoon to create a swirl pattern in the middle.

4.      Serve immediately:

    • Garnish with pineapple wedges, strawberry halves, or mint sprigs for extra flair.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar to your preferred sweetness or substitute with honey for a natural option.
  • For a tropical twist, sprinkle toasted coconut on top.
  • Make it a cocktail by adding a splash of rum, tequila, or vodka.
