- ½ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour, crushed crackers, oats, or gluten-free alternatives)
- 2 eggs (or flax eggs for substitution)
- ¼ cup finely chopped onions
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt, pepper, and paprika to taste
- Optional: lemon zest, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, fresh dill or parsley
- Optional add-ins: grated zucchini or carrots, cheese, Cajun seasoning, curry powder, smoked paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, eggs, onions, garlic, and seasonings. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form into 6–8 patties about 3 inches wide.
- Chill patties in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to firm up.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Alternate methods:
- Air Fryer: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
- Oven: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes.
Serve warm with dipping sauces or sides of choice.
