Ingredients

  • 2 eggs (or flax eggs for substitution)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt, pepper, and paprika to taste
  • Optional: lemon zest, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, fresh dill or parsley
  • Optional add-ins: grated zucchini or carrots, cheese, Cajun seasoning, curry powder, smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, eggs, onions, garlic, and seasonings. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form into 6–8 patties about 3 inches wide.
  3. Chill patties in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to firm up.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  5. Alternate methods:
    • Air Fryer: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
    • Oven: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes.
