  • Eggs: 4 large
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Brown sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Cinnamon: 1 tbsp
  • Ginger: 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg: 1/4 tsp
  • Confectioners’ sugar: 2 cups
  • Milk: 1/3 cup
  • Maple syrup: 1/4 cup
  • Chopped pecans (optional): 1 cup

Instructions

    • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Make the Maple Glaze
    • Mix confectioners’ sugar, milk, and maple syrup until smooth and pourable.
    • Apply glaze to the cooled cake and let it set for 10 minutes.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute melted butter for vegetable oil.
  • Add chocolate chips or top with toasted pecans for variations.
  • Use Greek yogurt or sour cream as alternatives to cream cheese.
