- Yellow cake mix: 15.25 oz box
- Mashed sweet potatoes: 1 cup
- Cream cheese: 8 oz
- Vegetable oil: 3/4 cup
- Eggs: 4 large
- Vanilla extract: 1 tsp

- Confectioners’ sugar: 2 cups
- Milk: 1/3 cup
- Maple syrup: 1/4 cup
- Chopped pecans (optional): 1 cup
Instructions
- Prepare the Sweet Potato Mixture
- Roast and mash sweet potatoes until smooth.
- In a bowl, mix the mashed sweet potatoes with eggs, vegetable oil, and cream cheese to form the batter.
- Create the Swirl
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pecans for the filling.
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish. Spread half the batter, sprinkle the filling, and top with the remaining batter.
- Swirl gently with a knife for a marble effect.
- Bake the Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Make the Maple Glaze
- Mix confectioners’ sugar, milk, and maple syrup until smooth and pourable.
- Apply glaze to the cooled cake and let it set for 10 minutes.
