Description

Berry caprese salad is a vibrant, refreshing salad featuring fresh berries, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze for a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. Perfect for summer gatherings, brunches, or as a homemade dish that impresses guests. Easily paired with grilled proteins, sandwiches, or crusty bread.

Ingredients

For the Salad:

– 2 cups halved strawberries (stems removed)

– 1 cup fresh blueberries

– 1 cup fresh blackberries

– 1 cup fresh raspberries

– 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (substitute plant-based mozzarella for vegan diets)

– ¼ cup chopped basil leaves

For Flavoring:

– 1 tbsp olive oil

– Balsamic glaze (drizzle; substitute honey, maple syrup, or citrus vinaigrette for variety)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all berries thoroughly. Halve strawberries and leave other berries whole.
  2. In a large bowl, combine halved strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, fresh mozzarella balls, and chopped basil.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the salad and gently toss to combine.
  4. Drizzle balsamic glaze generously over the salad for added sweetness and tang.
  5. Serve the salad fresh for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

– Use fresh, ripe berries for maximum sweetness and flavor. Substitute plant-based ingredients for vegan diets.

– Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1–2 days. Avoid freezing, as this salad does not freeze well due to its fresh ingredients.
