Description

KFC sweet corn is a creamy, buttery side dish featuring sweet corn cooked with butter, salt, and water for a comforting and satisfying addition to any meal. Perfect for family dinners, holiday meals, or as a homemade alternative to fast-food sides. Easily paired with fried chicken, grilled proteins, or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

For the Dish:

– 1 pound frozen sweet corn (substitute fresh corn if needed; adjust cooking time)

– ½ cup water

– 1 tsp salt (substitute low-sodium seasoning blend or herbs like parsley or thyme for low-sodium diets)

– 2 tbsp butter (substitute olive oil, coconut oil, or margarine for vegan diets)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine frozen sweet corn, water, salt, and butter. Stir gently to distribute evenly.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the corn is warmed through and tender, about 8–10 minutes.
  3. Transfer the sweet corn to a serving bowl and enjoy as a side dish. Serve immediately to preserve the corn’s natural sweetness and creamy texture.

Notes

– Use high-quality frozen sweet corn for maximum sweetness and flavor. Substitute plant-based ingredients for vegan diets.

– Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days. Freeze portions in freezer-safe containers for up to 1 month. Reheat on the stovetop or microwave.
